Postdoc position on CDF at University of California at Santa Barbara

The high-energy physics group at University of California at Santa Barbara invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow to work on the CDF experiment at Fermilab. Members of the CDF group at UCSB have had substantial involvement in CDF's silicon tracking upgrade projects, have developed an algorithm to use the extended silicon for forward electron identification, and are pursuing lepton based analyses including electroweak measurements and searches for new phenomenon. The successful candidate will work on physics analysis and hardware/software projects related to the silicon detector operation. The position could be based either at Fermilab or Santa Barbara, with frequent travel between the two expected in either case.


Candidates for the position should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics and have demonstrated excellence in high-energy physics research or a closely related field.
